Under 13 Football: Parnells v Erin Go Bragh

Under 13 Footballers Loose out to Parnells

Parnells 6-9

Erin Go Bragh 3-2

This game was not as one sided as the score line suggests with both teams level at half time 2-2 apiece. It was the Erin Go Bragh Under 13s who drew first blood with a Conor McLeod point before Parnells struck back with a goal and a point. Captain for the day Ross Maher levelled matters with well worked goal. A Caolain O’Brien goal and point put the visitors in the lead before Parnells scored a goal and point to level matters at half time. The first half was a very even affair with little or nothing between both teams. But unfortunately the second half was all the home sides whose superior squad numbers of 22 to Erin Go Braghs 13 began to have an impact with Parnells piling on score after score. The visitors finished the second half strongly with Brian O’Sullivan showing some great skill and determination. A Ross Maher goal was the last score of the game but it was Parnells day.

Team: M O’Brien, E O’Hara, A Dalton, C Gorman, C Kenny,  B O’Sullivan, J Barnet, F Johnson, J Clarke, C O’Brien (1-2), R Maher (2-0), C McLeod (0-1), C Mahon
