Junior Hurling v Wild Geese

Erin go Bragh 1-18

Wild Geese 4-8

A goal and two points in the last five minutes gave a plucky Erin go Bragh the narrowest of victories against Wild Geese in Catherine's Park, Lucan last Sunday. Wild Geese led from the start and winged it to half time having swooped for three soft goals. Erin go Bragh remained in their vapour trail with the reliable Robin Watson and Kevin Lark pointing from play.

A determined D15 side took charge in the second half with Aidan Watson and Patrick Quinn feathering over scores. Erin go Bragh backs defended their nest strongly in the second half and limited the opposition to only three scores. A defeat for EGB would have been hard to swallow but was looking more likely as the Wild Geese goalie ducked on a numerous occasions to keep the away team ahead by a beak.  A goal for Kevin Larkin followed by a swift point from Damien O'Donohue gave EGB enough to claim a hard boiled victory at the death.
