Junior Hurling: Round Towers (Clondalkin) v Erin Go Bragh

Round Towers (Clondalkin) 1-8

Erin Go Bragh 4-13

Erin Go Bragh travelled to Clondalkin on Sunday for their second championship group game keen to make amends for the defeat byWhitehallin the opening round. Round Towers themselves had also lost their opening group game so both sides were eager to get their championship campaign back on track. The visitors got off to the best possible start with an Aidan Watson goal. Kevin Larkin extended their lead to four points. Towers opened their scoring account with a point but Go Bragh were to enjoy a dominant spell with Dave Kennedy, Robert Watson, Aidan Watson and Kevin Larkin registering scores. Towers came back into the game in the final ten minutes scoring a goal and two points without reply to reduce the deficit at half time to 2-6 to 1-3.

The second half proved to be a tight affair with both teams going point for point with only goals from Aidan and Robert Watson proving to be the difference between the sides. The second half itself proved a dull affair with no real flow to the game with both sides conceding a lot of frees. But it was Erin Go Bragh who got their championship back on track.
