Erin Go Bragh 3-6
St. Kevins/Killians 3-6
Erin Go Bragh and St.Kevin/Killians served up an entertaining draw on Sunday evening in Thomas Davis’s all weather pitch on Kiltipper Road. It was St. Kevin/Killian who started the brightest, taking a 2 point lead before Moses Wanjigo opened the scoring for Erin Go Bragh and Riche Daly brought the sides level. Killians responded with 2 more points and missed several chances to extend their lead and weren’t to score for the remainder of the half. A goal from Moses and a point from Mick Moroney saw Erin Go Bragh go into half time 1-3 to 0-4 in the lead.
Go Bragh started the second strongly with a Richie Daly penalty and a Conor Redmond point extending their lead. St. Kevin/Killians responded strongly with a goal and 2 points in succession. Conor Redmond will feel aggrieved as what looked a perfectly legitimate goal not awarded but JB Jones made sure his effort hit the back of the net. The Erin Go Bragh defense continued to frustrate the St. Kevin/Killian forwards but they eventually scored a goal after one their efforts hit the crossbar rebounding to the waiting forward who slotted the ball into the net. They scored another goal shortly afterwards taking the lead with only a few minutes remaining. A point from JB Jones levelled things.
