Under 10 Camogie Faughs vs Erin Go Bragh & Westmanstown Gaels

Our Under 10 Girls visited a warm and sunny Templeogue on Saturday afternoon for their Camogie Blitz hosted by Faughs GAA Club.  The girls played Westmanstown Gaels in their first match, followed by two further games against Faughs.  All three matches were extremely competitive and the girls had to battle very hard during their encounters with Faughs in particular.  While the weather may have added to the occasion, those standing on the side-line were certainly treated to a generous mix of skill and bravery too, as the girls battled past some knocks and bruises to produce some very exciting Camogie indeed.  If the referee was keeping score, the skill point count on both sides would have far exceeded the number of scores on the board.  The girls eagerness to attempt and succeed in lifting and striking the ball out of hand, even in the most difficult of positions was fantastic, and was matched only by the excitement of the goal line save and clearance in the dying seconds of the final match..  Well done to all the girls and keep up the hard work.
