The Erin Go Bragh hurlers unbeaten league run spanning back to July 2013 came to an end in Balymun on Sunday evening. The visitors got off to a good start with a Robert Watson point. Setanta equalised soon after and playing with the wind in the first half they took the lead and extended it to three points. The score at half time was 0-7 to 0-4.

Erin Go Bragh had the wind in the second half but at this stage it had died down a bit attempted to reduce the hosts lead and at one point had reduced it to one point. The visitors had the lions share of possession but just couldn’t convert their chances. Setanta manged to find a second wind and reinstated their half time lead of three points. But Erin Go Bragh fought bck to reduce the deficit to a single point with three minutes of injury time to go. However it was the home side who held on to take the win.
