Junior Football v Clann Mhuire

Junior Footballers loose out to Clann Mhuire

Erin Go Bragh 1-5

Clann Mhuire 0-14

Erin Go Bragh welcomed Clann Mhuire to St. Catherines Park on Sunday for their opening league game of 2015. The hosts got off to a dream start with a point directly from the throw in. However the visitors responded strongly with several points from play and frees to take the lead. Erin Go Bragh finished the half brightly with two more points to leave 7 in it at half time the score 0-3 to 0-10.

The second half was a much tighter affair with the home side opening the scoring once again but Clann Mhuire responded with points of their own. A goal midway through the second half brought the Braghs closer to Clann Mhuire but the home sides discipline cost them towards the end with Clann Mhuire putting over a few more points to ensure the points go back to the Naul.

The footballers play Pavee in the Duffy Cup next Sunday at 2.30 in St. Catherines Park.
