Junior Football v Beann Eadair

Footballers Pick Up Vital Championship Win

Erin Go Bragh 2-10

Beann Eadair 1-4

Erin go Bragh put themselves in with an excellent chance of advancing to the junior E championship semi finals with a win over Beann Eadair on Sunday afternoon. The hosts dominated the first half surging into a 2-4 to 0-0 lead after twenty minutes. Beann Eadair eventually got on the board with two pointed frees but the home side were in complete control of the game.

Beann Eadair started the second half brightly but just couldn’t convert their chances. They came close to scoring three goals with two attempts cleared off the line and the third going narrowly wide. Again the visitors were restricted to scores from frees, scoring a goal from a deflection and a point. However Erin Go Bragh kept the score board ticking over to maintain their lead with the forward line putting some lovely moves together. Beann Eadair eventually scored a point from play but the hosts finished the strongest dominating the last ten minutes to pick up their first win.
