Ladies Section are Bag Packing this Weekend

The Erin Go Bragh ladies section will be bag packing this Saturday and Sunday 22nd and 23rd February in Marks and Spencers in the Blanchardstown centre. This is a new fundraiser for the ladies section so please call in and support their efforts to raise some additional funds for the club.

The ladies Section is the fastest growing section of the Littlepace and Ongar club in Dublin 15. In 2005 a ladies adult gaelic football team was set up shortly after the clubs relocation to the area but sadly disbanded in 2009.The first underage football and camogie teams were fielded at Under 12 in 2008 and a separate executive committee set up in 2010 in order to ensure the development and growth of ladies gaelic games within the club.

The underage section has expanded from that one team and this year the club are fielding their first ladies football team since 2009 and their first camogie team in their history. At underage they will field teams at under 8, 12, 13 16 and minor. Indeed the underage section and has seen a great deal of success at underage, most recently winning a minor football championship shield. The underage section also has several players on Dublin camogie development squads- Niamh Maher at under 13, Niamh Padden and Jessica Carroll at under 15 and Alannah Kenny and Saoirse Donohue at under 16. The ladies section are always looking for new players and anyone interested in playing at underage can contact Jason Forbes 0863541146 or Maria Padden 0872380741, or adult football or camogie can contact Kevin Kenny 0878220612 or Ciara 0879147154
